Heather Gelb- A Poem

The Edge of Forgiveness

The smell of revenge
Repels me like
Rotting meat on a highway
Of high jacked love.
Confronting one's self can be
Just as heroic as confronting the
Injustices of the world.

One step at a time I
Walk towards the
Edge of forgiveness,
Like wild salmon pushing
Against the current of
Perceived righteousness,
Returning to a place of rebirth.

One step at a time
I
am
   almost
       there

Brief Bio: I often feel like a gazelle as I leap from hilltop to hilltop, finding inspiration in the valleys of my life. On one of these hills I recently publish my memoir, my spiritual journey from the hills of one land to another.
