Brittany Zedalis- Three Poems

The Ring

silver gleaming ring
five stones like crushing words
     a start of sorrow

Phone Call

a bottle of wine
the thud of a crashing phone
  she choked on her words

His Voice

a melodic voice
it soothes and calms her wild heart
    beating with his own

Brittany Zedalis is a married 21 year old poet/college junior studying to be an elementary teacher at Francis Marion University. She has had poems published in several journals online, and it is one of her only ways to deal with grief.
