Denny E. Marshall- Three Poems

Four Play

Sex is one tire
On a car
Even with three
You would not travel far
Not to mention the engine
Or the steering wheel
Relationships only satisfy
With the whole automobile

No Muse (Is not good muse)

If this poem
Was a gun
It would be harmless
All the words
That are shooting
Are blanks
Need target practice
To improve
Live ammo
Would really help
Through the scope
To take a break
Try a derringer
Rock and roll
One good stiff drink

Vines

The roots of the flesh
Curled all around the body
Laying in long, green grass
In wide open ecstasy
The branches of her treasures
Longer than redwood trees
An expanding field of flowers
The garden is so deep
The fingers claw the soil
Felt like petals hitting
It is more about the growing
Than the planting of the seed
