Catfish McDaris- A Poem

Moose Jaw Blues

Her silk panties blew off
the clothesline as he rode
his chopped Harley by

Smothering his face
in Chantilly lace, asphalt
& a telephone pole ripped
his nuts & nose clean off

The tattooed biker bled
as the paramedic put on
the clean underwear &

Helped herself to his stash
taking a double snort with a $2
bill on the way to Moose Jaw

Catfish McDaris is an aging New Mexican living near Milwaukee. He has four walls, a ceiling, heat, food, a woman, two cats, a typing machine, and a mailbox. That’s enough for him. He writes for himself and sometimes he gets lucky and someone publishes his words. He remains his biggest fan.
